Mediocrity

Fear comes at a certain stage of work. You experience the first wave of satisfaction with your achievement and fear that the next stroke of the brush or paint knife will destroy it. Anyone who transcends this threshold is great; anyone who does not do it remains at this mediocre level of satisfaction.  Meggy Bernhardt

Day two. Second endeavour.

A wonderful evening in Atelier69. Who? Whom will I follow today? Don’t know yet. Another small board covered in canvas, more hours of technical struggle with the matter. I am not concentrating on what I want to cover the board with but how. Technique is the key. The same as it was when a piece of furniture was being made. The raw material determines the final outcome. I like structures, so I reach for acrylic resins.
