Elements

The work “INTRO” marks the beginning of a new cycle for me: Elements. I envisaged pieces built on the multiplication of elements created in one moment and within one creative energy, without pauses, without wiping the brushes or adding paint to the bucket. I felt that this approach would ultimately result in components that are spiritually fused with one another and, once assembled, form a unified whole. The experiment is complete.

I carried out several multi-day creative sessions, each producing nine elements. Each set of nine Elements is consistent with the others, yet no two sets are the same — and that is what defines their individuality. I gave them titles.

The next stage is to assemble and disassemble the elements. I divided the works into groups of six, two and one, so that I can create several different pieces from each session. These pieces differ in the number of elements and exist independently of the others. If a set of six Elements is sold, the original nine Elements will no longer exist. The same applies if a set of two Elements is purchased. Such is the game. It is a story about fragmentation and unification; about existing together or in isolation.

Each session, and indeed the entire experiment, brings together my two independent interests: architectural precision and organic depth. This creates a space that is both grounded and infinite. It is a visual meditation on stillness and the quiet strength of colour. Colour and structure are the central motifs of this cycle. My aspiration is minimalism — thus reduction, subtraction and synthesis — until only what is essential remains.
